About me
For over 30 years, I have been immersed in classical Indian dance (Bharatanatyam) as a dancer, teacher and researcher. Following numerous stage performances and in-depth studies in India, I have been living and teaching in Berlin since 2019. My aim is to bring the aesthetic precision, narrative power and cultural depth of this dance form to the stage and into the classroom.
Pushpanjali – flower offering & opening
A lively, dynamic opening piece (Nritya), dedicated to the elephant-headed god Vinayaka (Ganesha). This modern, highly rhythmic choreography stems from my dance training in Puducherry (South India) and showcases the precise footwork and expansive dynamism of classical Bharatanatyam.

Era Ra Ra – Abhinaya & Expression
A delicate, narrative piece (Abhinaya) that showcases the art of visual poetry: the protagonist prepares herself with great anticipation and applies her make-up whilst waiting for her beloved. This recording of an open-air performance highlights the nuanced facial expressions and narrative depth of classical Bharatanatyam.
